Demographics

Who is Pawnee Rock? Here are the demographics: the people, households, income, education and racial/ethnic makeup of our town. Estimates of the city's population differ. The population estimated by the census in 2009 was 321, but the Directory of Kansas Public Officials says it's now 252. The census in 2000 showed 356 residents, and four years later the estimate was 341.

Elections

Pawnee Rock elections are held in odd-numbered years. General election voting for Pawnee Rock Township, Barton County and state positions is held in even years.

City offices

On Centre Street, between the fire station and tennis court and across from the Christian Church.

Mayor

Gary Adams (elected April 2, 2013). He replaced Tim Parret (on June 4, 2007, replaced Mike Kirkman, who was elected in April 2007 and later resigned; elected 2009 and 2011)

City Council

The council meets at 7 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. In September, it's on the second Monday.
